Jacqueline and Tony’s wedding took place on a breezy October day inside the The Aquatorium, a beautiful historic building on the shores of Lake Michigan. The newlyweds were bravely embracing the chill from the lake during their portraiture session and everyone quickly forgot about the nuisance of unseasonably cold fall day.
The truth is that as wedding photographers we often hope for that ideal “picture weather.” We hoped for October golden sun filling the shores of the lake, where we would get lost in the sounds of the waves and explore native tall grasses of the Lake Michigan. What we got instead was the opposite; dark clouded skies with intermittent drizzles and bone chilling cold. None of this mattered however, because as soon as we started photographing Jacqueline and Tony, the adrenaline kicked in and our hearts warmed up. Their spontaneity, their obvious love towards each other, their warm smiles were all we needed to quickly forget about the weather and emerge ourselves completely in documenting their beautiful wedding day. And what a day it was … filled with smiles, laughter, family who travelled from all around the globe, great food and a fantastic live Salsa band … a pure bliss to photograph.
Tony and Jacqueline you were such troopers. Thank you for letting us document your wedding day.
