Jennifer and Kyle married on a beautiful yet slightly rainy October day in Wisconsin. With all day rain in the forest we planned a “day after the wedding” session the Devil’s Lake State Park. On their wedding day, the clouds finally cleared right after their ceremony, and we were blessed with a dramatic sky with a beautiful golden hour sunset. We ended up taking some really beautiful portraits on their wedding day, which you can view soon in an upcoming blog post. Nevertheless, we went through with our planned “day after” wedding session at the Devil’s Lake.

Day after their wedding, we hiked the lake side trail, exploring and scouting together for the best light. Jennifer and Kyle were super adventurous, hopping over large boulders and hiking through slippery rocks and tree roots to get some really beautiful photographers.

We are avid hikers, with Wisconsin being our closest stomping grounds for nature explorations, so we felt very inspired and excited that day to be able to capture more love these two have for each other. We had an amazing time together in surrounded by breathtaking nature. These images show our little Sunday afternoon photography adventure with Jennifer and Kyle.
