Joy and Toby’s wedding was destined to be a truly “white” celebration. Our pre wedding meeting in their Logan Square apartment took place during late fall snow storm and so did their beautifully simple ceremony at the Chicago Cultural Center. With our passion for outdoors we were truly excited about the prospect of photographing Joy and Toby during the snow storm but we were a bit worried that they may not like that idea. We high-fived each other when we received an email from Joy, the night before the wedding, that they’ll have their snow boots ready.
Their wedding turned out to be a beautifully spontaneous celebration, surrounded by closest friends and family. Their passion towards each other was evident in each photograph we took. It was the moment, the touch, the look and genuine interaction between two of them that showcased their love and commitment. We felt that we could go on for hours documenting their celebration and not minding finger numbing cold .
Joy and Toby walked effortlessly and gracefully through ankle deep snow of Millennium Park enjoying harsh Chicago winter weather while always laughing, hugging, kissing and simply having fun. There’s nothing more a wedding photographer could ask for! With no pun intended it was a pure joy to document Joy and Toby’s celebration. Happy New Year guys and we wish you many years of love and happiness!
