The engagement session with Kelly and Joe was purely spontaneous. We were going to meet to sign the contract and have a beer at Revolution Tap Room where they’ll be celebrating their wedding in October. Day before the meeting Kelly emailed me and wrote that they are in a desperate need of pictures for their wedding website. Not thinking twice we offered to bring our gear along and meet  them in Logan Square 30 minutes before sunset.

Despite nearly freezing temperature and intermittent drizzles, Joe and Kelly’s energy was infectious and their love and commitment to each other was evident in every picture we took. We wondered through some industrial parts of Logan Square laughing, taking pictures and talking about metal … yes, Joe digs metal! What a lovely coincidence.

We wrapped up the evening with rounds of freshly tapped Galaxy Hero IPAs, tapped just hours earlier for Chicago Comic Con party that took place that evening in Revolution’s Tab Room. Can work be any more fun?!
