One of the perks of being wedding photographers is that we get to explore parts of Chicago we’ve never had a chance to visit. This time our lovely engagement couple, Marina and Mario, took us on the tour of Rogers Park.

We spent a warm, spring Sunday afternoon taking engagement photos of these two awesome people while sipping coffee and tasting “handcrafted” doughnuts  at Sol Cafe, followed by pints of micro brews at Lighthouse Tavern. We discovered Lake Michigan’s kayak launch at Leone Beach Park and wrapped up the evening with gourmet tacos at Bullhead Cantina.

Marina and Mario were not only an awesome couple to photograph, with Marina’s constant smile and Mario’s boyish charm, but also knowledgeable neighborhood guides. We can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the end of June.
