The best things in life are simple and meaningful and Matt and Meghan’s wedding was just that, a simple and genuine celebration of love. High school sweet hearts, they married at Holy Family Catholic church with the reception held right next door at Saint Ignatius College Prep. Surrounded by friends and family they celebrated in the school’s cafeteria, which converted to a beautiful wedding hall with simple yet stylish decor, delicious home made BBQ food and tasteful tunes provided by one of Chicago finest DJs Toast and Jam.
After their wedding ceremony we sneaked out for Matt and Meghan’s favorite treat, an Italian Ice on Taylor Street (which also brought some great memories back from our UIC college days), and then headed over to Saint Ignatius library for some beautiful, intimate wedding portraits. The grounds of St. Ignatius provide so many great opportunities for wedding pictures and the site has become one of our favorite wedding venues to document weddings in Chicago. It offers the best of both worlds in terms of city logistics, an elegant atmosphere, the courtyard and some really great spots for people to mingle and socialize. Matt and Meghan, thank you for having us along for the ride! Truly one of our favorite weddings we photographed this year.
